Our base will be Frigiliana, one of Spain’s “ Pueblos Bonitos de Espana “, ( recognised beautiful Spanish villages ), nestling in the Sierra de Almijara Natural Park. Frigiliana is a whitewashed Moorish village full of beauty and history and the starting point of numerous breathtaking walks.
The transfer to Frigiliana from Malaga airport is less than an hour.
Frigiliana is a perfect base for your holiday with everything you will need. The village has over 40 restaurants to choose from with a variety of delicious Spanish cuisine. The best way to discover Frigiliana is to just wander and lose yourselves in the maze of cobbled streets and flower filled courtyards to discover the beauty and history of our wonderful village.
Within minutes of leaving the village on foot, you find the most spectacular walks into one of Spain’s hidden secrets, the “ Sierra de Almijara. “The Sierra is simply spectacular, high rugged peaks, mountain passes, ancient walkable water channels or “ acequias “ and mule paths linking the coast with the interior, passing the centuries old inns, all in ruins but all with a story to tell.
A short drive away are the Sierras of Tejeda and Alhama, contrasting mountain ranges climbing to 6600 feet.
Walking all of the three mountain ranges around Frigiliana is a delight. Walking routes are innumerable and varied and whether a rambler or seasoned hiker, there are routes to suit most abilities.
For your free day there are many relaxing choices. The lovely coastal town of Nerja is 10 minutes away and a pleasant town to spend by the Meditteranean. Within an hour are the cities of Malaga and Granada to explore, we particularly recommend Granada and the wonderful Alhambra Palace, or just relax and wine and dine in our village.
We offer two holiday types. Our all inclusive holiday in Millers Hotel or Self-Catering in village houses or apartments.

Please note: We will have to charge a single occupancy supplement of £20 per person per night for our Frigiliana accommodation.
WHAT’S INCLUDED IN YOUR SELF CATERING OPTION.
For our self-catering option, we offer comfortable village houses or apartments close to the centre of the village. These will be chosen for you depending on your requirements, group sizes and preferences.
What’s included:
- Transfers to and from Malaga airport.
- Accommodation with welcome pack of food and drink for your arrival
- 5 guided walks including transport
- Late lunch in the ‘Lost Village of Acebuchal’ on the third walking day
- Optional trip to the cities of Malaga or Granada on the non-walking/free day.
- No single supplement but minimum of 2 people per house/apartment
All of our accommodations include kitchen, heating/aircon, free WIFI and outside terrace or balcony.
Any accommodation housing four or more persons will include 2 bathrooms.

Early October to the end of November is ideal, the summer heat has disappeared, and from early March to the end of May, springtime, with an abundance of wild flowers to enjoy.
THE MINIMUM GROUP SIZE IS 4 AND MAXIMUM 24 FOR OUR FRIGILIANA WEEK.
